Everyone was stunned by the horrific event, in which she abandoned her second daughter Kelsey, who was 12 years old, to die while leaving her oldest daughter Kiersten, who was 13 at the time, to battle for her life.

The same day she picked her kids up for an unsupervised visit, she enticed her girls and drove them to an abandoned farmhouse near Interstate 35. The kids were excited to see their mother, completely ignorant that she was planning an illegal plot to kill her daughters. The moment Debra got a knife out and began to assault Kiersten, the kids were completely taken aback. Kiersten yelled at her sister to stop.

After stabbing Kiersten in the back while she was attempting to defend her sister, Debra then turned her attention to Kelsey. Debra fatally injured her daughter Kelsey by slitting her throat. She shifted back to Kiersten, who had purposefully had her throat sliced due to the horrible circumstances she was in. Just four hours after Debra picked up their kids, the event happened.

On January 14, 2021, Debra Jeter, a native of Carrollton, Georgia, in the United States, passed away. She was joyfully raised by her parents, the late Billy and Palona Jeter, and was born on November 20, 1962, in Randolph County, Georgia. She worked as an academic affairs program analyst at West Georgia Technical College. She belonged to Indian Creek Baptist Church as well. Debra’s funeral was scheduled for Monday, January 18, 2021, at about 2:00 p.m. Bro. Doyle Jackson officiated at the funeral services, which were followed by the interment in the church cemetery.
